Day 7 — the beginning of Songkran, and the reason I even booked this trip. I don’t think words can fully capture how it felt, but I’ll try.
Imagine walking through the streets where everyone — locals, travelers, kids, elders — becomes one. Buckets of water, water guns, laughter everywhere. Strangers smiling at you as if you’ve known each other forever. In that moment, there were no differences, no worries, no barriers — just joy.
I felt like I was a child again, running and playing without thinking of tomorrow, without caring about anything else except the present moment. My body was tired, my clothes were drenched, but my heart was so full.
This wasn’t just a festival… it was a reminder of how beautiful life feels when we let go and just live. A memory I’ll carry with me forever. 💦🌏❤️
