On the 27th April 2022 Cape Independence Advocacy Group, CapeXit, Freedom Front Plus and Cape Independence Party all organised a “Free the Cape” march.
This march took place on South Africa’s public holiday” Freedom Day”
Well over a thousand citizens came to be part of the march in what was probably the highest attended march for the Cape Independence movement.
As they marched through the Cape Town city centre they stoped at the provisional Western Cape building to hand over a letter to Alan Winde.
The citizens continued to march and passed by the District 6 Museum where a powerful prayer was done.
The march ended where it started at the Grand Parade in Cape Town.
Following the march speeches from various groups and organisations was heard.
