I 3D Printed a Mario... and Learned the History of Gaming's Biggest Icon (Toothbrush Holder)

What started as a simple Mario toothbrush holder turned into one of the most stressful—and rewarding—prints I’ve tackled yet.

In this episode of Looking for Prints, I set out to 3D print Mario while telling the incredible history of gaming’s biggest icon—from his early days as Jumpman to becoming a global legend. But like most real-world 3D printing projects, things didn’t go as planned.

Mid-print failures, frustrating jams, adhesion problems, and constant troubleshooting forced me to make a tough call… replace the printer and start over. You’ll see exactly what went wrong, what I tried to fix it, and how the replacement printer finally arrived to save the project.
