Join us for a moody, unforgettable day trip to Ōkunoshima—Japan’s mysterious Rabbit Island—filmed in October 2024 on a rainy, windswept afternoon. With barely another soul in sight, it felt like we had the entire island to ourselves... just us and the rabbits.
The rain only added to the surreal vibe. As the light began to fade and mist rolled in, there were moments we genuinely wondered if we were the last ones left on the island. Exploring the remnants of the island’s WWII poison gas factory in the damp silence made for an eerie, haunting contrast to the gentle bunnies all around us.
Equal parts cute and unsettling, this was a travel experience unlike any other.
