Steve’s Honda Element boasts the full Fifth Element camper setup—though he’s added his own flair to meet his specific needs. This build is truly tailored for his solo adventure, and while it may not fit everyone’s style, you can’t help but admire the craftsmanship and detail he’s put into every inch. This isn’t just a camper; it’s the culmination of 60 years of planning for a dream cross-country road trip to see the iconic “Big Boy” locomotive, weighing in at a million pounds.

A true automotive and train enthusiast, Steve’s journey combines two passions into one unforgettable trip. He’s planned every detail of his journey, from meals to sleeping arrangements, using two customized Jackery 1000-watt solar batteries to power a full microwave for easy road meals, with everything securely bolted down for safe travels. After trading in his Volkswagen camper van, he found his adventure partner in this 2006 Honda Element AWD—a reliable, quirky, and fun vehicle ready to take on the miles.
