Short film with scenes from Ajax (Ontario) when it was Canada's largest wartime explosives plant run by Defence Industries Ltd. (1944-1945), and later as the Ajax Division of the University of Toronto, which handled first and second year students in Engineering, eighty per cent of whom were returning veterans.
Scenes include the production of TNT and assembly lines; Dean Clarence Richard Young delivering a lecture; students in classrooms; Hart House Ajax; dormitories; and students queuing for the old Defence Industries Ltd. munitions buses that transported them between residences and their classrooms.
