"Misty" was written by pianist Erroll Garner in 1954. I've played this as a rhythm guitarist in jazz outfits but never played it either as a solo piece or on tenor guitar before - so, a bit of an experiment. I used my thumb to play the melody, rather than a pick, to retain more feel and control of the string tone. It's a great melody with nice chords; the lead melody is played on my Chisholm tenor guitar over an upright bass line and chords played fingerstyle on my Lowden 010c.
