2024 European Association of Urology Guidelines on Urological Infections

The European Association of Urology (EAU) published updated 2024 guidelines on urological infections. These guidelines offer evidence-based recommendations for diagnosing, treating, and preventing various urological infections, including urinary tract infections (UTIs) and male accessory gland infections. A key focus is on antimicrobial stewardship to combat antibiotic resistance. The guidelines provide detailed recommendations for different types of UTIs (uncomplicated, complicated, recurrent, catheter-associated), pyelonephritis, urosepsis, urethritis, prostatitis, epididymitis, and Fournier's gangrene.
