China - USA To Back China's WTO Entry

U.S. Trade Representative Mickey Kantor said in Beijing on Sunday
(12/3) that Washington would back China's bid for entry to the
World Trade Organisation as a founder member. The announcement
followed what Kantor described as "productive talks" with Wu Yi,
China's Minister for Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation. The
two emerged smiling from four hours of talks, almost double the
scheduled length.
