Asia University (AU ) Campus Tour | Taichung | Taiwan | Since 2001

An unforgettable journey through Asia University (AU) in Taichung, Taiwan, alongside my friends from Vietnam and Thailand, was an enriching experience that left an indelible mark on our understanding of higher education. Our exploration began with a warm welcome from a Thai student, who generously volunteered to guide us through the expansive campus.

Established in 2001 with a vision to become a globally competitive comprehensive university, AU has grown rapidly, evolving into a hub of academic excellence and cultural diversity. Stepping onto the campus grounds, we were greeted by a vibrant atmosphere teeming with intellectual curiosity and creativity.

Our Thai guide led us through the meticulously designed campus pathways, offering insights into AU's rich history and its dedication to fostering innovation across various academic disciplines. As we traversed the campus, we were struck by the seamless integration of modern architecture with verdant green spaces, creating an environment conducive to both learning and reflection.

Exploring the diverse academic departments, we were fascinated by the range of educational offerings available, including health and medical science, computer science and electrical engineering, creative design, management, and humanities and social sciences. Each department exuded a sense of passion and dedication to academic excellence, inspiring us to pursue our own intellectual interests with fervor.

One of the most remarkable aspects of our tour was witnessing AU's remarkable growth trajectory. From its humble beginnings as a college with only 17 departments and a modest student body of 2000 in 2001, AU has flourished into a dynamic medium-sized university with 28 departments and over 12,000 students by 2018. This exponential growth reflects AU's commitment to providing world-class education and opportunities for students from diverse backgrounds.

As our tour came to an end, we departed AU with a deep sense of appreciation for the transformative power of education. Our time spent exploring the campus had not only broadened our horizons but also instilled in us a renewed sense of purpose and ambition.
