The Outbound Ghost | Part 01: Welcome to Outbound!

In the world of The Outbound Ghost, ghosts are the embodiment of regret. Most people go to the afterlife after dying, yet those who were unhappy with their previous lives become ghosts and are forced to haunt the Earth until they right their wrongs. Of course, this is not always possible since doing this as a ghost is orders of magnitude harder than when you are a human. However, some manage to do this and are able to spend the rest of their deaths in the afterlife. In The Outbound Ghost, our task is to help others fix or come to terms with their past lives so that they can enjoy the pleasures of eternal bliss. We must achieve that for ourselves too, but it's not so easy to mend the mistakes of your past life when you don't even remember them.

We are dead. Let's just get that out of the way. And now, since we are no longer among the living, we are a ghost. The only problem is, aside from the whole "dead and a ghost" thing, is that we have amnesia and do not know where we are or how we got there. Although, that burning car is a pretty subtle clue.

Now, as a ghost, we find ourselves in the town of Outbound. But we are not alone here. As it turns out, everyone else is dead, too, for some inexplicable reason. And since we are technically an "outsider", some of the townsfolk suspect that we might be to blame for all the recent killings!

As we continue working with the locals and trying to find out what the heck is going on, we come across other apparitions that attack us on sight! But not to worry, we have figments protecting us. Figments are like emotions that battle on our behalf against enemies, such as those pesky apparitions.

Anyway, we have a look to look into here and we need to be quick about it if we are going to clear our name and prove our innocence! Hopefully, the remaining ghosts around Outbound can use our help to move on as well. We should seriously look into that...
