Meeting @davidestarman Davide De Angelis - an artist and creator of the famous Starman Tarot deck who worked with David Bowie for several years ⚡⭐ It was a magical meeting in London on November 29 at the historic Watkins Books store.

One of the most incredible and memorable experiences during our visit to London was meeting @davidestarman, the artist and creator of the famous Starman Tarot deck, who collaborated with David Bowie for several years! ⭐
The Starman Tarot is based on the idea of ​​a set of divination cards that Bowie and Davide De Angelis discussed back in 1997. The deck's visual language stems from their collaborations on the albums Outside (my favourite!) and Earthling. I love this deck immensely! ⚡❤️ Bowie's characters within De Angelis' universes are intertwined with an endless series of ancient symbols and futuristic images, like messages from both the past and the future. Besides this, as Davide himself explained to me, each card contains an encrypted message from Bowie. That's how they began to brainstorm and work on the first idea for the deck in the late '90s- writing thoughts to each other and describing the images associated with each card.

... We packed for London two months in advance and booked tickets to the Bowie Centre at the V&A Storehouse (slots for the exhibition were sold out within 24 hours, right up until February). Our visit was scheduled for November 29th. And so, just as we were packing our bags, a few days before departure, we received an email announcing that Davide De Angelis would be presenting a remastered Starman deck in London. Guess what date?;) Right, November 29th! Just before our planned visit to the Bowie Centre. Coincidence? I don't believe it! Especially since November 29th is none other than 11.11, and that says it all :) It seems like a sign from the stars ;)
We all decided so when we met at the amazing Watkins Books. London is truly a magical city... And now I'm the proud owner of a remastered Starman deck signed by the creator! Thank you Davide for this amazing meeting! I hope we’ll meet again ;)
