In this short clip, you will see how to easily remove your metal workpiece from the pitch bowl. This method has the benefit of minimizing the amount of pitch that sticks to the back of your workpiece.
If you do get a bunch of pitch on your piece, simply use a silicone scraper to squegee the melted pitch from your work. Keep the piece hot and with paper towel, wipe off the residue. A dab of acetone will easily wipe off any remaining stickiness or residue.
