Meeting The SULTAN OF SULU (Royal Family Before Philippines)

I WANT TO SAY FIRST, that this video is NOT POLITICAL, and is NOT about the ongoing debate around Sabah. It is about WHAT EXISTED BEFORE THE 20TH CENTURY.

Sultan Muedzul Lail Tan Kiram is a claimant to be the 35th Sultan of Sulu, a claim he makes from his father being the last recognised Sultan, and from his great grand uncle Sultan Jamalul Kiram II who was the last Sultan to hold power.

I asked him about the history of the Sultanate, which dates back to 1457! That day I had also visited a few historical sites, including the under construction rebuilt palace, a historic Chinese shrine, and Rajah Baguinda's final resting place.

An incredibly interesting day that finished up at Bud Agad Resort, atop a hill overlooking Jolo!
