Things to do in Luxor, Egypt: Better than Vegas? (Maybe)

If you're curious about the things to do in Luxor, Egypt (and wondering if you'll have as much fun as Las Vegas) - then trust us, there is plenty.

First, we'd say it's mostly a daytime city - we didn't get the vibe there was a lot to of things to do at night in Luxor.

If you really needed to, everything we list here, from Karnak Temple, to Luxor Temple, to the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut Temple are all things to do in one day if you are aggressive with your schedule (but you'll need to start early).

Depending on where you're staying, we'd head over to the Valley of the Kings and Queen Hatshepsut's temple first - catch a ferry for just a couple bucks across the Nile and see these awesome monuments before it gets too hot.

After that, head back to Luxor proper and visit both Karnak and Luxor Temple. Choose one for that perfect golden hour sunset because the way the light bounces around the temples is truly magnificent.

Then go have an awesome dinner for about 5 bucks!
