challenged Minister of Trade Wasantha Samarasinghe to step down from his ministerial portfolio if "he (Wasantha) fails to prove that I (Namal) took the law exam alone in an A/C room,"
During a parliamentary debate, MP Rajapaksa stated that he would resign from Parliament if it is proven that he took the law exams alone.
In response to the challenge, Minister Samarasinghe said, “Hari hari, right.”
MP Rajapaksa further added, “It is the law college and the entire legal fraternity that will be affected by this kind of deliberate allegation. It is high time we avoid making such baseless accusations.”
Meanwhile, Minister Samarasinghe also said that MP Rajapaksa should clarify who accompanied him to the examination hall when he sat for the final exam of his law degree.
