On November 9, 2024, we came across a massive pasar malam next to Woodlands Causeway Point. It’s rare to find such a big night market in Singapore.
It was truly a street food paradise where we can taste the world: Turkish, Malay, Chinese & more.
There was a variety of street food, including traditional Chinese tutu kueh, Taiwan popcorn chicken, freshly squeezed fruit juice, Malay otak-otak, Ramly burgers, Japanese takoyaki, and Mexican nachos, just to name a few. One of the highlights was a Turkish dessert called Kunafa, which we had never seen before. The stall was very popular, with people constantly lining up, and the live preparation was truly impressive.
If there were night markets of this size frequently in Singapore, there would be no need to go to Johor Bahru for street food.
