The first single in the Pink Cafe project is the song called “Higher” which was made together with Brandon Beal’s long-time friend Lukas Graham. The idea for the song was made years ago in the same session that produced the global hit-song “Golden”. “Higher” is a song about pulling yourself up and focus on the positive side of things even when you are at the lowest of low. When you actively do things to get better it creates a domino effect of positive energy that only takes you “higher, higher, higher” – that’s the message

The idea for Pink Cafe has been on its way for several years through sounds, music and lyrics bits but not until last year Brandon Beal realised the connection between it all was that this music made him happy. Especially one song called “Pink Cafe” stuck with him and then it felt natural to call the entire project by that name. That song gave Brandon Beal a genuine feeling when listening to it, like it was a part of him and his roots. There was something about the more funk-based chords and bassline that felt closer to home than all the music he had been working with while being in Europe. Brandon Beal explains: “I thought to myself, if this music makes me feel this way then why can’ t I just do that? I’ve done so much music in a more technical manner – writing songs for other musicians and I felt that I owed it to myself to do a more love and passion driven project”.
From this point on Brandon Beal transformed the concept into a more physical place in the studio where he invited people in that he has a genuine friendship with. He wanted to make Pink Cafe a place where you go have fun and jam with your friends. It had to be a place with good vibes and no rules.
