I added some cavity wax here and there and put together some of the interior... Just wanted to get the car in a drivable condition. I didn’t put the cars original carpeting back in - I need to sort out some leaks first… Also, some parts are broken or in a really bad shape… Kind of hard to find good interior parts for an 80’s Volvo 🤨
Some of the materials used in this project:
~1/2 can of Biltema solvent free cavity wax = ~5€
Some airtight sealing tape "Sitko Flex" (1 roll costs ~15€)
This car is a 1986 Volvo 740 GL with the B200K engine. It was originally automatic, but at some point someone converted it to 5-speed manual (the M47 gearbox). I've owned this Volvo since april 2020 and have used it as a daily driver every now and then. It is currently waiting for repairs so I can get it through the inspection and back on the road.
