POV Surfing TASMANIA IN WINTER on a RETRO McCoy

POV surfing down on the east coast of Tasmania!

My latest adventures was a trip down to the cold wilderness of Tasmania, Australia. I was fortunate enough to be able to go out for a surf whilst I was down there on the east coast with my dad. Conditions were absolutely freezing! It was about 5 degrees Celsius this day with a strong offshore wind with a wind chill of around -2 degrees.
This was my first time surfing in proper cold conditions and first time with gloves booties and a hood plus a custom 4/3 mm wetsuit!

This was also my first time back in the water since I suffered a major ankle injury. I should not have been out there really but I couldn't help myself and had to go get a few.

I was riding my dads custom 6'4 McCoy which was awesome to ride, super buoyant, so much so I couldn't even really duck dive it 😅, but it was super fast and easy to catch waves.
