A Short Story by Khalil Gibran: The Palace And The Hut (1931)

In Part One, the lavish palace setting, opulent attire, and sumptuous feast symbolize the excesses of the elite. Their modest home, simple meal, and familial bonds convey a sense of genuine happiness and contentment.

This poem reflects the social and economic disparities of Gibran's time.
