Webbed Hand Mermaid Makeup

Do it yourself special effects makeup tutorial! Mermaid style

Makeup Instructions:
Non-porous surface, Spread your fingers well, Trace the outline of the fingers
I use "bald cap" latex (4 layers) but normal liquid latex also works (6 layers)
Paint the fins on the surface using the hand drawn for the shape as a guide.
I start with a brush, and I end with a sponge, but a sponge for everything is better
Let each layer dry for at least 1 hour
Powder the top
Pull gently and slowly to take off the fin, powdering as you go below.
Important: the dry latex sticks to itself even if it is not powdered
Use cream eyeshadows (more opaque), eye shadows, or alcohol-activated make-up to make up the palms and then the hands.
Make-up on the inside of the hands and the back of the fins as needed.
For sticking, liquid latex can work. I use Prosaid (medical adhesive) which acts as a contact glue. I apply it on the palm and on my fingers and I wait until it is dry before sticking together
For places on the hand where glue is exposed, apply translucent powder to remove the sticky effect.
(If the inside of the hand will be visible, camouflage the edges of the prosthesis using liquid latex for a better transition. Allow to dry then powder)
Makeup to taste! Use shadows to create an effect of longer fingers or creatures, and glow powders to sway with a lighter effect
