I finally got back to another Terrifying 25 trails, the ‘Great Gully’ trail! It was so much fun!
This trail has clas 2 - low 3 scrambling in sections with a very steep final push up the head wall.
This trail is super fun for those more adventurous hikers. My route was Appalachia Trailhead, Air Line to Shor Line, Short Line to King Ravine, King Ravine to Great Gully, then up to the top of the gully to Thunderstorm Junction and onto Lowe’s path to the summit of Mt Adams and finally taking Air Line straight back to my car.
If you attempt this route please be ready with knowledge of the route, navigation, food, water, and be ready to turn back at the first sign of bad weather. Always be prepared, this is not an easy route, it’s an extremely difficult route for a normal hike.
