I visited the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum in Chattanooga and had the opportunity to ride the museum's excursion train, sitting on the fireman's seat in the cab of Southern Railway 2-8-0 #630. My Great Grandfather operated this locomotive as the crew fireman in the 1970s on excursion trips all over the South. The seat I sat in was the same one he sat in over thirty five years ago. Take a ride with me on the Tennessee Valley Railroad Museum, between Grand Junction and East Chattanooga.
