Watch my bus journey from Bangalore to Nagpur by SRS Scania Multiaxle Semi Sleeper bus. This is my first time journey on this route and it was a requested bus route as well. Finally I got to travel by SRS Scania which is probably the most popular Scania buses. Bangalore to Nagpur distance is approximately 1100 kms and it takes 18 - 19 hours to complete this journey. The bus journey was good as it halted for regular breaks. So it didnt feel like a very long journey. This bus is a 12 pm bus from Anand Rao Circle and is scheduled to reach Nagpur (Baidyanath Junction) by 6:15 am. However, we reached Nagpur by 6:45 am which is still good time as we wasted more than 30 mins just waiting for passangers. The bus fare is 1300+tax. The bus route is Bangalore - Anantapur - Hyderabad - Adilabad - Nagpur. You can also do this bus journey till Hyderabad. So basically this bus does Bangalore to Hyderabad and then Hyderabad to Nagpur journey. This bus is scheduled to reach Hyderabad by 10 pm and we managed to reach 5 minuted before time. The bus also did some good speeds in between to make up for the time.
The only sad part is that the curtains are drawn for the entire journey and hence it becomes difficult to shoot and you have to shoot from the cabin itself. However, I did speak with Kapil anna, one of the drivers and he was very polite and we talked a bit about the bus journey and what I do. Kapil Anna originally from Kerala but has been living in Bangalore since the past 25 years. Like me even he doesnt knw kannada but know Hindi, Marathi, Gujrati, English. He really drove the bus very well. Maintaining speed with safety. He never used the horn at night and only used dipper for side. I enjoyed the bus journey even though I wish I could shoot a bit more during the day time because of the curtains.
