Possibly one of the most beautiful performances of this art song/Melodie written by the Belgian composer, conductor and pianist Hippolyte Ackermans (1886-1965) ever made?!
Sung by one of Frances' most beloved sopranos --Ninon Vallin.
(1886-1961) She recorded this and others of Ackermans' Melodies on the dark blue and gold Pathé Label in June of 1933. Matrix No. X 93.136. No. 204.036
