We're back at the Blue Note Grill mixing for the Triangle Blues Society, Blues Jam Competition. A bunch of great bands are competing for a chance to go to Memphis TN. Stage Manager Dennis brought "it all" with managing all band change-overs.
We're using the house sound system for this event.
Crowd noise is always present at these events. The challenge is to keep the mix just above the crowd noise; we don't want the sound system too loud (it may drive people out).
A couple of bands were very dynamic in their presentation. We had to keep the levels under control so everything could come out even.
It was a pleasure to mix for these great bands!!
