Anand Pillay, professor of mathematics at the University Notre Dame, delivers the informal talk 'Logic, Mathematics, and Culture' at the 2018 Recognizing Excellence Series June 14th, 2018. Anand discusses a brief history of mathematical logic, and shares personal perspectives on working in mathematics.
The Faculty of Math recognized Anand's highly influential career by conferring upon him a Doctorate of Mathematics, honoris causa (DMATH) at convocation the following day.
