Here is a quick introduction to Dyneema based fabric chain and it's use to build lightweight rigging bridles. Green Pin has taken the lead in bringing this kind of chain to the USA market but there are others coming, like Doleco and their DoNova chain. Key point to note is that if you need a big master link to fit hooks on mobile cranes, your best bet for a lightweight bridle is to use alloy shackles rather than Tycan links to connect the chain legs. This will allow you to buy a bigger diameter master link and thus make use of ultra-wide master links like those produced by Gunnebo.
