After retirement I decided to take a break from the repair side of Horology and venture into something I have always wanted! 'Making clocks' (by hand) from the 17th & 18th century as it was back then, this is my second although not finished, the first being an English Regulator and now this a Small Turret clock with a Grasshopper escapement. I first manufactured an Anchor escapement, but then decided to construct the Grasshopper, both swappable and are both great time keepers, I am not a video maker as you can probably see from this short clip but intend to hopefully construct a few more educational ones in the near future.
