On our recent trip to South Carolina, we stopped on the way home in Frankfort KY to visit (and spend money at) THE WOOLERY.
This is mostly just a silent walk around in the store looking at all the wondermous weaving, spinning, and other equipment. They also have a huge selection of yarns, threads, and fibers. If you happen to be driving on Interstate 64 between Lexington and Louisville KY, it is only a couple miles into Frankfort to visit the store, and it is well worth your time.
