Patlian Lake Neelum Valley | Keran to Patlian Lake

Neelum Valley, the beautiful valley of Kashmir, is famous for its stunning landscapes, lakes and waterfalls, lush green meadows, and cool breezes. In this valley, after passing through many layers of mountains, there is a beautiful and mysterious lake called Patlian Lake.
It is mysterious because this is the one and only lake where I sensed that coming here alone would feel isolating, as if something supernatural might dwell.
To reach the lake, you have to undertake a tough and long 8-hour journey by a four-wheel-drive jeep, but it’s a memorable trip. The scenery along the way — shadows of mountains, valleys sometimes hidden in clouds, and paths adorned with flowers — absolutely never let you get bored.
From Keran to Lawat bala, there is a metal road and any type of car may go but its difficult to find a jeep from Lawat bala so prk your car in Keran and hire a jeep for 18000 rupees.
After Lawat bala, there is an unpaved path with rocks besides, narrow turns, water streams and steep falls. hey make the heart race—not out of fear or distance, but because the bones will dislocate once again. If you love adventure and have the courage to come on such a track, then this place is just for you.
At base camp, we got a camp for three persons for just 2000 rupees. In the early morning, we visited Patlian lake after a hard 45 minute trekking.
