This project captures the strip down and retrofit of a 1999-2000 era Charly Scooter. The series will cover the development of custom hardware to handle the control and display functions via a control board in the headlight enclosure that will communicate to a full bridge DC motor controller via CAN. Existing hardware on the scooter will also be updated to the latest technology from head and tail lights to analog braking sensors, to hall effect speed sensor. Throttle and braking profiles will be discussed along with any other details that affect the drive feel of the scooter.
