Tension continues to rise across Uganda following what many citizens describe as a stolen victory. Ugandans turned out in large numbers and voted for Bobi Wine, but the Electoral Commission announced different presidential results, sparking nationwide anger and unrest.
The situation has been further inflamed by disputed parliamentary (MP) results, with opposition victories overturned, agents arrested, polling materials seized, and military forces deployed across the country. Streets have been flooded with soldiers and police, not for public safety, but to crush dissent and silence those demanding their stolen mandate.
With an ongoing internet shutdown, mass arrests, and violent intimidation, Uganda is now under heavy militarisation as citizens demand the truth and justice for their votes.
