Painting white flowers in watercolor is an ongoing challenge for me. I am very drawn to white flowers in general, and have taken a ton of photos of them over the years! But, if you know anything about watercolor, you probably know that typically we don't use white to paint white. This creates the challenge of how to paint white flowers, on white paper. Creating strong values and contrasts are key to making these gems the stars of the show! This snowball bush grabbed my attention on this sunny afternoon, and so I grabbed a quick photo to paint at some point, so here it is!
