The Salinadi Temple in Sankhu, Nepal, is a significant Hindu pilgrimage site, central to the month-long Swasthani Brata festival (Jan-Feb), where devotees fast, bathe in the sacred Salinadi River, and worship Goddess Swasthani (a form of Parvati) for blessings like long life and prosperity. Legend says Goddess Parvati meditated and bathed here, and the temple's golden-roofed structure houses a statue of Swasthani on a lion. The temple and its surroundings, including the Bajrayogini Temple and riverbanks, are rich in Newari culture and attract many visitors for spiritual and cultural experiences
