THE NEW LONGEST straight sword in Elden Ring : Velvet Sword of Saint Trina

The velvet sword of saint trina is the new longest straight sword in elden ring, outranging by a tiny bit the ex no1 which was Noble Slender Sword.

Not only that but it is is also a straight up upgrade from the old Sword of Saint trina, being much longer, doing more damage, and is proking eternal sleep instead of just sleep.

The shadow of the erdtree dlc has buffed sleep builds to another level, mainly because of 2 tools, Saint Trina’s Smile that buffs your damage by 20 percent once sleep has been proked, and the secret weapon Thiollier's Hidden Needle and its unique ash of war : sleep evermore!
This ash of war will do nuclear damage at a target afflicted by sleep or eternal sleep
And Speaking of which
The difference between eternal sleep and sleep is almost nonexistent in pvp, besides the fact that eternal sleep will take away a lot more FP than regular sleep. In both cases after sleep has been proked yoru opponent will be left in a daze and unable to move for a few seconds, giving you just enough time to land 2 attack or the sleep evermore ash of war

And In pve eternal sleep will make it so that some npc proked by eternal will never wake up, but most of them will just stay asleep a bit longer than with regular sleep.

Of course if you’re goal is to be piece of shit toxic cancerous motherfucker you can just use the crazy crossbow that will proke sleep in 1 or 2 shot. The Spread Crossbow. But please just don’t use it.

Overall Velvet Saint Trina’s Sword is among the best straight swor din the game, the only problme is that straight sword are not as good as they use to be mainly because they won’t break high poise with light attacks.
