This advanced mini-course provides an in-depth exploration of the final phase of Charles Sanders Peirce's theory of signs, covering the period from 1904 to 1914. The course begins with an analysis of the incompleteness of Peirce's final work, followed by an overview of research in Speculative Grammar and sign classification conducted by semioticians who have sought to continue his legacy. Subsequently, Professor Vinicius Romanini's innovative approach will be presented, justifying his proposal. The course will also cover the compositional rules that enabled the creation of the periodic table of sign classes, comprising 66 classes, and will delve into the concepts of the solenoid of semiosis and semiostasis. Finally, a taxonomy of cognitive capacities will be discussed, offering participants a comprehensive and advanced view of Peircean semiotics applied to cognition.
