Four people accused of conspiring to defraud the government of 3.4 billion shillings meant for Buyaka Cooperative Society in Bulambuli district have been remanded to prison until the 9th of July. MPs Michael Mawanda, Paul Akamba, Ignatius Mudimi Wamakuyu, and Julius Kirya Taitankoko, a lawyer, appeared before the Anti-Corruption Court Chief Magistrate Joan Achiro. Akamba who is also facing charges of soliciting a bribe, had been rearrested on 14th June, shortly after he was granted bail. #NTVNews #NTVTonight #NTVWeekendEdition
