This is the video of the game Sonic The Hedgehog 2, released for Mega Drive in 1992!
A year after the success of the first Sonic the Hedgehog, the fans demanded a continuation of the game. And Sega evidently did: So in 1992 we got the release of Sonic the Hedgehog, which comes to be one of the most successful hedgehog games on Mega Drive.

This second version brought a lot of improvements over the first one, such as new moves, better graphics and more detailed stages, still fantastic soundtrack and also the debut of Miles "Tails" Prower as the partner of Sonic! Again Dr. Robotnik imprisoned animals in robots, called badniks.
The great highlight of the Sonic world are the mysterious Emeralds of Chaos. They are gems, with powers to restore the world (as in Sonic The Hedgehog) or even an almost unlimited source of energy.

After the restoration in the world of Sonic 1, now they have returned but now there are seven instead of six. You will need to collect all of them to reach the true end of the game. When Sonic collects the seven emeralds, he can use his energies to be invincible: becoming the powerful and fast Super Sonic.

To get the emeralds, simply cross the checkpoints with 50 or more rings and enter the bonus phase, which now consists of a race in which you have to join the number of rings you are asked for, always being careful of the bombs. Collecting the seven emeralds, when you join 50 rings and jump, Sonic will use the power of emeralds to turn Super Sonic, which is invincible, faster and agile and Sonic is golden, but it is a transformation that needs to be used consistently so you do not go up against dangerous obstacles. Without a doubt it's a spectacular continuation and one of the best Mega Drive games of all time!
