Police Chase Dodge Charger SRT8 SuperBee Runs From Arkansas State Police In 140mph Chase

Pursuit and Arrest of Jean Alejandro Rodriguez Rivera

Location: Interstate 49 Northbound, Mile Marker 97
While conducting routine traffic enforcement at the northbound on-ramp near the 97 mile-marker on Interstate 49, I observed a white Dodge Charger bearing Missouri registration. The vehicle had a black spoiler and an emblem located on the driver’s side
quarter panel. As the Charger entered the on-ramp to proceed northbound on I-49, it accelerated rapidly and passed another vehicle recklessly on the left shoulder. I activated my emergency lights and siren in an attempt to conduct a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle failed to yield and instead increased its speed, reaching over 140 mph in a posted 75 mph zone. The driver began passing other motorists on the right shoulder in moderate traffic conditions, exhibiting a complete disregard for public
safety and creating a substantial risk of death or serious injury had a collision occurred. I notified dispatch that I was in active pursuit of the vehicle as it passed the 100 mile-marker northbound. The suspect continued to flee at speeds in excess of 140 mph, heading toward the Missouri state line. Dispatch made contact with the
Missouri State Highway Patrol and advised them of the pursuit in progress. Upon crossing into Missouri, speeds remained above 140 mph. Dispatch later informed me that Missouri Highway Patrol did not have a unit in the immediate area capable of apprehending the suspect. Due to the continued reckless operation of the
vehicle and the diminishing likelihood of a safe apprehension, I made the decision to terminate the pursuit. My last known location at the time of termination was the 2 mile-marker northbound in Missouri. Pictures of the suspect vehicle were provided
to the Missouri Highway Patrol. At approximately 1642 hours, I was notified that Missouri Highway Patrol had located the vehicle near mile-marker 43, heading
into Joplin, Missouri. A traffic stop was conducted and the suspect, identified as Jean Alejandro Rodriguez Rivera (DOB: 01/02/2006), was taken into custody. Rivera admitted to observing my patrol vehicle on the on-ramp and acknowledged that he was speeding, but claimed he did not believe I was behind him. No further statements were made. Rivera was booked into the Jasper County Jail on a 24-hour hold and issued a traffic citation by the Missouri Highway Patrol.
I contacted Sgt. Lee (Arkansas State Police) regarding the extradition process. The Benton County on-call attorney was consulted and advised that the warrant paperwork could not be finalized and signed until Monday due to time constraints. I relayed this information to Jasper County Jail and advised them that Rivera would be held pending a warrant from Arkansas.
A felony warrant request has been completed and submitted to the Benton County on-call attorney.
Pending approval, Jean Alejandro Rodriguez Rivera will be charged in the State of Arkansas with the following offenses:

Fleeing – Felony (Vehicle or conveyance – substantial danger of death)
Ark. Code Ann. § 5-54-125(d)(3)
Reckless Driving – First Offense
Ark. Code Ann. § 27-50-308(b)(1)(B)
Speeding – More than 15 mph over the limit
Ark. Code Ann. §§ 27-51-201, 27-50-302
Improper Passing on the Left
Ark. Code Ann. § 27-51-307
Improper Passing on the Right
Ark. Code Ann. § 27-51-308

September 17, 2025, at approximately 3:07 P.M., I was sitting stationary near the 282-mile marker on Interstate 40 facing eastbound on the right shoulder. I observed a blue Ford Mustang with no license plate pass me in the outside lane of traffic., I called out the pursuit.
Dispatch then informed me that the wrecker coming to get the Mustang was Bowden. seized the bag of marijuana, and checked the M&P9 2.0 handgun that was found in the vehicle. The driver was finally identified through Cheers as Jamarrius D. Butler and discovered his license was suspended. Jamarrius D. Butler was transported to Crittenden County Detention Center shortly after. Jamarrius D. Butler was ultimately charged with:

Felony Fleeing, Reckless Driving 1st, Speeding 15MPH +, Possession Sched VI 4oz, Driving a Vehicle Without Tags, Fail to Register Vehicle, & Driving on a Suspended License.
