Darris Kilgour is simply one of the greatest indoor players and coaches ever.
Darris was a hometown hero during the dominant Buffalo Bandits teams of the 90s helping them win 3 MILL Championships with his gritty play and sharpshooting. He would go on to become Head Coach of the Bandits and lead them to the 2008 NLL Championship.
Darris is a 3x MILL All-Pro, 3x MILL Champion, 5x Mann Cup Champion, 2003 NLL Coach of the Year, is a member of the NLL Hall of Fame, and his #43 jersey hangs in the rafters at the Keybank Center in Buffalo.
#43 was an in your face smash mouth player who could lock you down playing defense or set up the game winning goal on the power play. He and his brothers set the example that indeginous players could not only play pro lacrosse, but dominate at the highest level. He coached with the same intensity he had as a player in the NLL and got the best out of his players.
