The simplest way to describe this products is a no-rinse, make-up removing cleansing water. Micellar water originated in France as a way to gently remove makeup and dirt without having to actually rinse your face with tap water. The cleansing micelles found in micellar waters are actually rather clever as they attract anything oily and dissolves it gently without irritating the skin. This if course depends on how whether your skin is very sensitive or not and not all micellar waters were created equal using the same surfactants (cleansing agents).
After testing Drunk Elephant E-Rase Milki Micellar Water I can say this is one of the gentler ones. It’s also been formulated with plenty of nourishing skincare ingredients such as skin strengthening ceramides. Soothing antioxidant vitamin e and nourishing plant oils which includes the famous marula oil that features throughout the DE range.
