In September 2023, UNESCO reopened a controversial debate: is Venice at risk of losing its cultural heritage? It's long been known that Venice has suffered the stress of over-tourism, development schemes, and environmental volatility. Many now argue that the city has lost its soul, with some claiming it's far from the cultural gem it used to be. Convinced this was far from the truth, we explored the islands of Venezia in search of the people whose innovation and passion are keeping the heart of the city alive.
