FAMOUS AS: HIP HOP DUO
Kundai Brendan Dawn Mawire (22) and Tinashe Shawn Mawire (24), better known by their stage names as Kizzy Jnr and B Rock, are a Hip Hop duo from Zimbabwe.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, the brothers worked together in music from their early teenage years.

Kizzy Jnr more behind the scenes, while B Rock was more of the frontline act until 2019, when they started recording together. They gained traction in their local town of Norton as they rapped and performed in school, their talent stood out, and they soon expanded from there.

Coming from the tough ghettos of Norton Katanga, they faced a lot of hardships as they walked 8 to 9KM to get to the studio and record. They drew much of their attention to the Southern Region of Africa through performing their act at concerts, shows and festivals like the Ivyson tour, Change a life concert, Zim hip-hop awards, Iconic festival Harare, Shoko festival, Juice hip-hop awards, Glamour awards and more.

The two have worked and been seen associating with artists such as Nadia Nakai, Rowlyne, Nasty C, King 98, Bashupi, Stunner, Roki, Scrip Mula, Natasha muz, Holy ten, Laylizzy and more. In past years Kizzy Jnr and B Rock have worked with No limits Records, Big bass Entertainment, Hip-Hop Classic and Big Yards Entertainment, through which they managed to make hits like, ‘’Seh She Want’’ with Loui V, Caplet and Po6, ‘’Life Tonight’’ ft Maggikal, ‘’Hauna Bag’’ and so many more which all Aired on different national radio stations in Zimbabwe.

Their much-anticipated EP, Man Don’t See, which was set to be released in February 2021, has been delayed but announced that it is set to hit all digital platforms soon. Since then, their careers have been a bit slowed down as they faced monetary challenges through the COVID lockdown. Still, they are not stagnant as they have recently signed a distribution deal with one of Uganda’s biggest record labels, BLACK MARKET RECORDS and seem to be heading into the mainstream. This was exciting news to all duo fans as it meant that they will soon be dropping more music.
