In 2019, the world was introduced to the Witchcrafter archetype in Infinity Chasers. These waifu-taxed magic ladies used hand Spells and Monsters with Quick Effects to establish various boards. All those types of boards equated to 1 showing at a UDS Invitational. Unfortunately, Witchcrafters didn’t get far at all in the TCG. With the hype that Konami placed on it, its ability to play other types of Well-Known Spellcaster Techs, and its simple playstyle, many expected it to go somewhere besides locals. However, that didn’t turn out to be the case, and now all we have stewing in the cauldron is a Failed Cards and Mechanics Video on how Witchcrafter flopped in the TCG, which is terrible news for those who bought the deck, but fantastic news for us. So, without further ado, let's look at why Witchcrafter’s formula blew up in their face.
