In todays tutorial we are going to be learning about Beats Per Minute and Beat Matching on the Korg ES1 Sampler. Beat matching is the art of taking one sample and matching it's tempo to the tempo of a completely different track. This technique is a staple of Hip hop music and where FL Studio might do this all for you on old skool machines like the ES1 you need to do a little more work and understand exactly what is going on.
This video was inspired by MasterKronne who asked me about the timeslice function on the Electribe ES1.
