The "parlor" was the most common body size in the 19th and early 20th centuries. The 12-fret configuration (which entails a more centered bridge placement) and big, chunky neck gives it a sweet and balanced tone. In this video, SoundPure Acoustic Guitar Expert, Robinson Earle, discusses the differences between two of Eastman Parlor guitars: the E10 P and the E10 OO. The Eastman E10 P has a huge sound and is an ideal guitar for finger pickers. The Eastman E10 OO is small like the parlor but is a little meatier for strumming and flat-picking.
