Hello friends of the Buffalo Naval Park.
Shane has been doing some digging into the naval strategy around the time of WWI and the Washington Naval Treaty. In addition to the 5, 5, 3, 1.75, 1.75 agreement laid out, he also talks about the 10% erosion rule, and if that played a part in the Washington Naval Treaty.
The 10% erosion rule stated that for every 1,000 miles a ship, squadron, fleet sailed, it lost 10% in wear and tear, repair needs, maintenance schedules, casualties, and ultimately, less guns to bring to a fight.
Thanks for your continued support!
