Note-taking when listening to lectures or reading for college courses is a key piece of students' academic success. In this learning module, we discuss how note-taking plays a role in the study cycle and offer tutorials on how to take notes in Cornell style, in outline format, in a mind-map, and in a matrix. This module also offers suggestions on how to troubleshoot some common problems students face when taking notes.
